Horticulture students are trained in various disciplines such as landscape architecture, arboriculture, turf management, floral design, greenhouse management, natural resources and park management. They learn about plant identification, insect identification and control, soils, plant propagation and plant science. Students are responsible for operating a working greenhouse and selling products to the public. In addition to plant life, students learn small-engine repair.

- 10-Hour OSHA Safety Training
- FFA Greenhand Award
- FFA Certificates and Awards for State Competition
- Tree Care Specialist (Tree Care Industry Association)
