Fine and Performing Art Departments

The Silver Lake Regional School District has a long and proud histroy of excellence in its arts education programs.  The arts education program at SLRMS gives students the opportunity to CREATE, PRESENT/PERFORM, RESPOND and CONNECT in a diverse offering of courses in both Art and Music aligned to the Massachusetts Arts Curriculum Frameworks.

At SLRMS stduents are offered a variety of courses to explore their interestes, build their knowledge and sill and express their artistic ideas.

Grade 7:  All students take Exploring Art and All students take Band OR Chorus OR Exploring Music.

Grade 8:  Students choose between the following Arts Electives - Art 2, Drawing & Painting, 3D Art, Chorus, Honors Chorus, Band, Jazz Band, Piano Keyboard, Musical Theatre and World Music.
