Principal - Becky Couet
As a former Apponequet Laker, I am humbled and honored to be a Laker once again at SLRMS. The warm welcome of the staff and students has been inspiring and I look forward to becoming a larger part of the Silver Lake community.
After 25 years in education, starting in early childhood, then teaching in 4th and 8th grade classrooms, and moving into administrative roles, I am thrilled to be back in the place I felt most at home: middle school. The middle school experience is a powerful one, filled with growth, new experiences, and new relationships, both with your physical self and with others.

Assistant Principal - Don Rothemich
I am excited to join the Silver Lake team! I have had such a warm welcome from teachers and staff from SLRMS and from across the region. This will be my 20th year in education. I had the privilege of teaching middle school social studies for fifteen years before becoming a middle school assistant principal. I love connecting with students and building positive relationships. While middle school can be a challenging time for children to navigate, it is also an incredibly dynamic time where children develop independence and determine the people they want to be. I enjoy helping students build positive relationships with teachers, staff members, friends, and peers.
Alongside Ms. Couet and the rest of our fantastic team at SLRMS, I look forward to building deeper connections within our school community and contributing to a positive school culture that helps everyone feel welcome, cared for, and prepared for the challenges of high school and beyond.
