Students as Producers and Consumers of Digital Content
(INT) (HS) (PB) (DC) (TL) (HU) (ELA) (SS) (FA) (SE) (MF) (IL)

From students researching and producing their own public service announcements to students creating
their own online encyclopedia, learn how the students in the Silver Lake Regional School District are
becoming producers and consumers of their own content. We will show samples of student-produced
public service announcements that were a joint venture between the high school and middle school to
help bring awareness of the issue of bullying. We’ll also present student-created research projects that
involved using online and print library resources to publish their own online encyclopedia that includes
both text and video. The presentation will conclude with a real time demonstration on how easy it is to
create a movie using Photo Story.
