Mrs. Crowley’s  Children’s Literature class hosted three guest speakers today who have published the first two children’s books of a series History for Little Hands.  The speakers, Silver Lake alumni Michelle Skye Santos (Class 1988) and Amanda Brack (Class of 2008), shared their experiences with researching, writing, and illustrating the books about famous women in history.  Rui David of CSP Publications also joined the presentation along students from Mrs. Napolitano’s art class and Mrs. Pimental’s Child Development class.  Another Silver Lake graduate, Karen Hanrahan, was the graphic designer of the books which are targeted for young readers, kindergarten through grade 2.
