The Girls Track Team will be holding a fundraiser to raise money for Haiti from Tuesday, Feb. 9th through Thursday, Feb. 11th. They will be selling coffee, hot chocolate and baked goods before school in the Cafeteria. Hope to see you there!

Auditions will be held for the spring production of The Reduced Shakespeare Company on Wednesday, Feb. 10th from 2:45-4:00 PM in the Auditorium. Please see Ms. DePasqua for audition packets.

Spring Sports Sign-Ups will be held Tuesday, March 2nd at 2:00PM in the Cafeteria. All students interested in trying out for baseball, softball, girls and boys spring track, girls and boys tennis, girls and boys lacrosse or girls golf should attend to receive tryout information and sign up for a sport.

Spring Sports Registration Night will be held on Thursday, March 11th in the Auditorium at the following times: Registration at 6:00 PM; Parent/Coach Meeting at 7:00 PM; and Team Meeting at 7:30 PM.

Winter Sports Awards Night will be held on Monday, March 8th at 6:00 PM in the Auditorium. All freshmen, junior varsity and varsity winter sports team members should attend.

There will be a Student Council meeting on Tues., Feb. 9th, after school in the Auditorium for all Student Council members to discuss March Mania and the upcoming dance. All members are expected to attend.

Speech & Debate members must sign up by Tues., Feb. 2nd for Saturday's CFL Tournament. Also, there will be a mandatory meeting on Thurs., Feb. 4th at 2:30 PM in Rm. 1303. If you cannot attend, you must speak with Miss Orcutt in person.

Night School registration is now available and the deadline for registration is Tues., Feb. 9th. Registrations can be dropped off to your guidance counselor or at the Attendance Kiosk. Students wishing to register in a course for credit must obtain a signature from a guidance counselor on the course registration form. Please see your guidance counselor with any questions.

Registration applications for the Spring Driver Education course will be handed out at the Attendance Kiosk on Mon., Feb.8th and Tues., Feb. 9th. Completed forms with a check for $540 must be turned in to the Attendance Kiosk, by students only, on Wed., Feb. 10th at 7:00 AM. Forms are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Your donated gift cards and gift certificates are due immediately for the Valentine's Day Basket Fundraiser. Each member is responsible to stop at a local store or restaurant to ask for a donation. Bring your letter with you! See Ms. Gazzola with any questions.

If you are interested in being a host for Mr. Silver Lake, auditions will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 3rd at 2:00 PM in Mrs. Warnock's room. Also, anyone interested in participating in Mr. Silver Lake may pick up an application in Mrs. Warnock's room. All applications are due back by Feb. 10th.

Silver Lake Regional High School is offering the ASVAB test on Thurs., Feb. 11th at 8:00 AM. The ASVAB or Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery measures your strengths, weaknesses and potential for future success. Your scores in four critical areas will determine whether you are qualified to enlist in the U.S. Military. Your scores in the other areas of the ASVAB will determine how qualified you are for certain military occupational specialties and Enlistment Bonuses. A high score will improve your chances of getting the specialty and signing bonus you want. If you are interested in taking the test, please sign up with Ms. Weeks in the Guidance Office.

Attention all AP Students! If you want to guarantee a seat for an AP exam in the spring, you need to sign up in Guidance by Friday, Feb. 5th. The down payment is a non-refundable $15 (per test). Please see your AP teacher or Mr. Garofalo in Guidance for more info.
