The Silver Lake Copy Shop, affiliated with the Life Skills class, continues to be busy working on a variety of projects. The class has been given the opportunity to produce many of the print jobs for the school, including passes, tickets, various pamphlets, and the monthly newsletter.
Students in the program continue to learn new skills and benefit from the exposure to hands-on occupational skills. The class is learning to use many pieces of office equipment, but more importantly, they are learning the step-by-step process of running their own business. Advertising, production, design, problem-solving, recordkeeping and interpersonal/communication skills are all involved in this process.
Profits from our projects allow us to continue to purchase new supplies and equipment. Thanks to all who have supported us.
