Urgent News Regarding Eastern Equine Encephalitis

Silver Lake Regional and Union #31 School Districts serving the towns of Halifax, Kingston, and Plympton announce a temporary ban on all outdoor school activities beginning at dusk on Wednesday, September 7, 2005. The tragic death of the five year old Halifax resident, due to Eastern Equine Encephalitis, prompted school officials to impose the temporary ban until further guidance from local and state health officials is available. Parents and students will be notified of the temporary ban through their local schools
