- Academic Counseling, individually and in
groups
- Career/College Counseling
- ExPan and College View
- Home Tutoring for students with extended or
chronic illnesses
- In-School Peer Tutoring
- Social Security and Voter Registration
The Guidance Department offers the

- Big Brother/Big Sister Program
- College Board Testing (SAT in November,
December, January, and May/ PSAT in MAY/ A.P. Exams in May)

The Guidance Department offers the
following Career Education Program:
The department is implementing a Career Ed
initiative beginning in the seventh grade and ending with transition activities in the
twelfth grade. The goal of our Career Ed initiative in each grade is:
- Grade 7: Students are introduced to
careers by studying the jobs around them in their community and neighborhood. The
interview their parents, neighbors, or professionals who are doing jobs the student thinks
interesting.
- Grade 8: Students begin learning about
themselves and how self-knowledge helps make good choices about careers.
- Grade 9: Students continue their
self-knowledge by identifying their learning styles.
- Grade 10. Students begin to make
decisions on which careers might suit them and begin looking at colleges.
- Grade 11. Students continue to learn
about the practical aspects of career choices.
- Grade 12. Students prepare to transition
from high school to the world of work or go to college.
